Mom’s Night Out!

moms night out

No matter how much of a super mom you may be, we all need a break sometimes! Studies have shown that people who take breaks and take time out for rest and relaxation are more aware, alert, and clear – and as moms we can always use more of that!

While it’s not always easy to escape for a real night out, there are some simple and affordable things you can do to help hit the reset button and show yourself some much deserved TLC. Here are some fun ideas you can use with just a couple of hours’ time and with a small entertainment budget.

Eat Up!

There’s something so relaxing, nourishing, and fun about a meal that someone else makes for you – and a trip to a restaurant can be a quick and affordable break that has long-lasting benefits. Going out with friends, loved ones, or even family members is a great way to lighten the mood and let someone else do the dishes!

Get Moving

Taking a couple of late-night hours for a trip to your local dance floor is a fun, stress-reducing, and inspiring way to take a break without spending a lot of money. It’s always fun to get dressed up, and if you eat at home before you head out you’ll just be paying the cost of entry and drinks.

Self Love

It may seem obvious, but this is something too many moms overlook. Taking time out to do some good old fashioned self love can go miles. A manicure, massage, pedicure, facial, hair styling, or skin treatment all make relaxing breaks that can give you a serious pep in your step and a whole lot of new energy!

Go Exploring

Did you know that a 30 minute walk or 15 minutes in the sun can do amazing things for how you feel? Get a short-term babysitter for an hour and spend time sunbathing in a local park with a book or headphones, go on a walk, take up a local trail, jump on your bicycle, or just go laze about in the shade. You’ll feel like a million bucks afterwards!

Movies For Mom

What can you do in 2 hours? Go see a new release! Movies have gotten pricey lately, but it’s still a great way to get away from the house and to get out of your head for a couple hours. Movies are a great way to get inspired and relax.

These are just a few of the most fun and affordable things you can do for a mini break whenever you need it most.
