Do you have staple foods you ALWAYS purchase? Maybe certain foods you by at certain times. My family has a few staples that we buy large amounts of. For example, we love:
- Veggie Sticks
- Organic Steel Cut Oatmeal
- Hemp Milk (Pacific Foods, Original)
Every 2 weeks I purchase ALL the Hemp Milk, I repeat ALL, ok it’s only 12 cartons =) but still! LOL Here’s how we got started on hemp milk. I’ve been doing this for about 2 years. A Whole Food’s way to save is by purchasing at least 12 cartons at a time to get 10% off, plus any coupons. For a while I thought I was the only one that purchased it. Lately, I’ve been noticing the that “my” stash has been running low! Now I can only get 7 -9 cartons at a time, rarely 12. So that means someone else is enjoying Hemp Milk (YAY) but it also means, I have to go the store more often or go to more than one store. (Boo!)
I definitely want more people to purchase hemp milk so stores can see the demand and carry more! Plus, it’s helped our family so much as my kids are allergic to nuts and dairy, therefore cow’s milk and nut milks are a no go. I’m not a fan of soy, rice milk is low in nutrients and oat & flax milk were fairly new to me when I was transitioning from nursing. A friend hipped me to hemp milk after she successfully weaned her daughter off breast milk to hemp milk. We’ve been in love ever since. If hemp milk is giving other families a chance to enjoy making foods with milk, drinking milk with cookies and have milkshakes, then yes buy my stash!
Of course, if too many people buy hemp milk, I could make it myself……. right? Options!
If you want the best price and not necessary focused on buying local only, Amazon is also an option to get dedicated deliveries of milk delivered to your doorsteps.
What do you do, to make sure you get your stash?
