Allergy Medication Frustrations

We recently enrolled our little one into day school and she was SOOOO (ooooo) excited to begin. That morning, she knew she would meet her teachers, see more kids and have fun! We had all of our paperwork handled and I was ready to drop her off at school for the first time. Well, I thought I was going to drop her off. It turned out there were a few missing items needed to allow her attend, as her paperwork read she was allergic to nuts. Even though this is a peanut free facility, I would not able to drop Read More

Food Allergy Symptoms: Do you know what they are?

Food Allergy Symptoms Guest Post by Lindsey Steffensen of Frugal Food Allergies When you think of food allergy symptoms you probably think of swollen, puffy faces and throats, hives, and the like. Puhleaseeee be an answer to my prayers. Despite the initial questioning, I still had hope as I starred at refrigerator after refrigerator full of tempting food that I did not Read More

Can this trump eczema?

For almost 2 years, I have been submerged into the world of eczema. Day to day skin regimens, flare ups, removal of allergens, scratching, scars, skin discoloration and many trial & error situations. You  name it, we’ve tried it or are about to! I’m even in the process of mastering “The Uncontrollable Scratching Toddler”.The thing is, I look at my friends with children with nothing more than hay fever and wonder what it would be like to have a “eat whatever you want” child or better yet a “scarless” child with an occasional boo boo. As a parent dealing with Read More
